The Mansion, formerly The Paxton, located at the foot of Sydenham Hill (look for the Crystal Palace TV mast) is a large, Victorian pub recently re-designed with a fresh modern interior feel. The Mansion also has the benefit of a huge garden perfect for long Sunday afternoon lunches in the summer. The emphasis is on food with a predominantly Modern British menu, serving classic ‘favourites’ such as pies and roasts as well as daily changing ‘specials’. The style is unfussy; dishes are prepared with carefully selected choice cuts of meat, Barnsley Chops, Ruby Red Beef and fresh fish of the day….
